Adventure & Expedition
What is Adventure and Expedition TRAVEL and how is it different?
It's a question we get asked often. You could say adventure & expedition TRAVEL is defined by the TRAVELer themselves. How is adventure TRAVEL different than 'regular' TRAVEL?
ADVENTURE TRAVEL is about embracing the thrill of the unknown, seeking out adrenaline-pumping experiences, and immersing oneself in the raw beauty of nature. It's the pursuit of uncharted territories, from scaling rugged peaks and navigating wild rivers to exploring remote cultures and encountering wildlife in their natural habitats. Adventure TRAVEL is a call to step out of your comfort zone and embark on a transformative journey that challenges, inspires, and leaves you with lasting memories.
EXPEDITION TRAVEL involves embarking on purposeful and often challenging journeys to remote and unexplored regions, driven by a quest for discovery, scientific research, or the exploration of pristine environments. A 2018 article in Travel Weekly defines Expedition TRAVEL as "Exploration or TRAVEL to remote exotic areas…in which TRAVELers interact with local populations and connect with their core values." An expedition leader once described the experience as letting the trip take you, rather than you taking the trip.
